Inkscape

Inkscape is similar/ free alternative to Adobe
Illustrator. It can be difficult to use. I find that free
open software layout are not user friendly as
paid software.

Gimp

Scribus

Scribus is a free open software similar to Indeisgn.
Again it is not as user freindly as Indesign.
Changing the typeface and size iss not straight forward.

It is also like he other not as user freindlty as the paid software.
for the workshop we looked at scaling.
i deited the cat using the cut tool adnd deleted the backgroud, then layers over
another image with scalling it in and out so that the cat either looked big or small.
